Light Days, Dark Nights: The Carolina Photographs of Doris Ulmann
Acclaimed photographer Doris Ulmann traveled throughout North and South Carolina from 1929 to 1933 shooting images of Americans in the rural South, whom she felt defined the essence of the American people. Ulmann's biographer, Philip Walker Jacobs, curated this traveling exhibit organized by the South Carolina Historical Society.
