What is it Going to Take? Your Time Your Vote

Join Johnson C. Smith University and Levine Museum of the New South for a panel discussion focusing on voting rights, voter education, and voting issues. The event will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd, at 6:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:00pm) in James B. Duke Memorial Library on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.

Moderated by professor Jasmine M. Corbett, panelists Malcolm Graham (Charlotte City Council), Kamaria Lawerence (Democracy North Carolina), and Sharika Comfort (Chief Executive Officer, Educated Hoodlums Brand, LLC) will discuss the importance and impact of voting, how to educate yourself on your rights as a voter, important topics in this election year, and provide resources, particularly for young and first-time voters.
